University/Community MLK Memorial Banquet (Rescheduled)

Elmira Mangum

(This event was originally scheduled for January 16 but was postponed due to concerns about inclement weather creating power outages and internet interruption)

The University/Community MLK Memorial Banquet features a keynote speaker, entertainment, the presentation of the MLK/Edith Wiggins High School Senior Scholarship, and the Bridge Builders and Citizenship Awards.

This year’s speaker will be Elmira Mangum, Ph.D. In 2014, Dr. Mangum became the first woman to permanently hold the position of President of Florida A&M University in its 128-year history. Dr. Mangum will be joined at this event by several other prominent community leaders as we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. King.

The Banquet, now in its 37th year, will be held virtually due to COVID safety concerns.

Tickets are $30 and go entirely to support student scholarships.
