Application Deadline: Carolina United Retreat

Applications are now open for participation in the 24th annual Carolina United retreat! Carolina United is a 3-day overnight retreat that will take place at Camp Weaver in Greensboro, NC from February 25th-27th. During this time, participants will engage in collaborative dialogue that establishes unity across difference, builds a deeper understanding of identity and intersectionality, and provides space for participants to take part in making a more inclusive Carolina. If you are passionate about making a difference and learning more about social justice and inclusion, this is an opportunity for you!

Transportation, lodging, and meals are covered for the duration of the retreat, making this a completely free opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students at UNC. Participants will gain skills in intergroup dialogue, coalition-building, and developing social justice action plans, and receive a t-shirt at the conclusion of the retreat, as well.

We will accept applications until 12:00PM on February 9th in Heel Life: https://go.unc.edu/CUapplications. Please contact Natasha Young, Leadership Development Program Coordinator (natasha.young@unc.edu) and Melissa Yu, Graduate Assistant for Leadership Development (yu8@ad.unc.edu) for further questions!
